Turning an Insert for a Cello Anchor on the Table Saw
I have a Cellist friend, who kept wearing out her plastic end-pin anchors. She didn't want to switch to a metal one as those damage the end-pin, so I made a wooden inset to go into her plastic anchor.

Homemade Table Saw - 4: Removable Insert and Fine-Tuning
Просмотров 3,3 млн7 лет назад
Building a removable plate for the saw itself, removable inserts for the blade, and fine-tuning the saw. The removable plate could be used to replace the saw with other tools in the future (like a router or a jigsaw), or replaced with a thinner plate that will allow more depth of cut. I made a mistake in the video at 12:56, as I should have divided by 4 and not by 5. This means that the error i...

I bought this for my friend for his birthday as we just moved into a new house and he finally has room for a workshop. The bench was very easy to set up ruclips.net/user/postUgkxyFZUPFEey-PuqsPMxqaykBhgA1LWxFHh They center support is a little difficult to snap in and out of place at first but at least then we know the bench is secure. It was a pleasant surprise when we saw it came with clamps. I apparently missed that in the description. My friend loves the versatility of the bench. Great starter bench for his workshop and easily transportable all over our property. I wish the bench was a little taller but the other features of the bench more than make up for that.

This is a pretty solid little workbench. While once you figure out how it comes together, it is physically Easy to assemble ruclips.net/user/postUgkxyFZUPFEey-PuqsPMxqaykBhgA1LWxFHh by yourself. But the diagrams explaining the steps are really pretty bad. I could not get the handle pins in all the way despite multiple attempts, so I just used a screw I had on hand for the 2nd handle. I could not get the first pin in further or pull it back out. You are supposed to hammer it in, but I had no leverage and the handle is plastic and I did not want to risk breaking it. I will get a lot of use out of the bench because of the convenient size and height. It does fold up nicely for storage. They even explain how to fold it so you don't get pinched...that is important!

Great job man. I tried to cut through 18 mil Plywood bcos I wanted to change the top on my table saw but the cut came through crooked. I did something wrong and went back to the old top but now I'm building a whole new saw. I hope to have it ready to go by next month. It's not easy working out the details but I'm getting there my friend. U built a really nice saw there. I have Bosch 190mm GKS type. It's a nightmare to use and it weighs a tonne. I out a lovely Freund blade on it. The blade struggles to cut through weak particle board. I must be doing something wrong with the saw or maybe the blade is wrong. I bought one of those ACCU CUT things and paid 60 quid for the blade. It's the most expense I've paid out for a blade and I'm very disappointed with it. I bought SAXTON BLADES 254mm for my table saw and the cut is so clean it beggars belief bcos they're the cheapest ones they make at less than 20 euros each. I should've tried to get a couple of blades form them 190mm but I couldn't find any on Amazon.. Keep up te great work bro and my apologies for my longwinded rant about blades.. LOL

Really cool idea. I have three of those straps as I am a teacher and performer. That plastic does wear out. I just used black Apoxsee which kind of levels itself out. At the end one can just scrape away at it to level it even more or use a drill bit attachment on a drill press to level it.

That is such a good idea, making it wide enough that it doesn't move about. The fence that came with my bandsaw does just that so is virtually useless. But your idea of a wide fence stops most of the movement. I must see how you made the vertical drill press now! Thanks very much. Only one problem, the "On hold while we wait for an operator" music drives me mad!! Small problem really which is more to do with me I expect.

I love that you only grip the front skirt of the table. I've always hated how cheap fences can be locked crooked because they grip the entire depth of the table. This is a great solution as long and there's no flex on your fence or tee. I wish they'd put these on small job site saws. ☮️❤️🌈

Formül; X= small Y= big (Y/X-1)= x100 Yüzdelik değişim formülü Benim makinada 20 cm uzunluğunda bir tahtada, üst taraf 5 mm, alt taraf 4.90 mm. 5/4.90= 1.020-1= 0.020 (yüzdelik fark) Bu benim için yeterli değil. Fark 0 olmasını istiyorum ☺️

relying on thin saw plate for fixing the saw to the table top is one reason for inaccuracy, I bet your cuts would never be dead square on the vertical axis across the cut. I'd suggest to use a vertical plywood brace to support both the saw guard (which is made of thicker aluminium) and motor body to attach it to the table top. Also holes on mdf which are very close to edges and without very large washers do not look safe to me.

Great idea for the clamp. I'm in the process of making my fence and considering this design. Could I ask how it has been? Does the clamp hold the fence really tight and solid all the way down? Or can it move or deflect? The clamp that came with my saw can slide if I press against it too hard and also deflects so I'm trying to improve it

I really like what you have done here. I have been toying with the idea of making my own table saw now for a while. this method you have used seems to be the most practical of all that I have seen. This is the way to go but instead of attaching my saw to 3/4 ply I'll use a piece of 6mm aluminum plate inserted into 19mm marine ply, to give me even greater depth of cut. Thanks for the idea.
